New week–new signs of fintech market revival. The first days of June show the growing interest of investors in education financing solutions, B2B fintech, and wealthtech.

NORTH AMERICA FINTECH DEALS

  • Fizz, a credit-building debit solution for students, has raised $14.4m in a seed round led by Kleiner Perkins.

  • Torpago, a financial services and spend management platform, has raised $10m in a Series B round led by Priority Tech Ventures & EJF Ventures.

  • BankTech Ventures, a strategic investment fund, has made an undisclosed investment into three bank-enabling tech firms: Equabli, Filejet, and Monit.

  • Robinhood, a trading app, has agreed to a $200m cash deal to buy crypto exchange Bitstamp.

  • Forward, a payments-as-a-product service for software companies has raised $16m from Elefund, Commerce Ventures, and Fiserv.


EUROPE FINTECH DEALS

  • Bcas, a financing solution for students to fund their education, raised €17m in funding from investors, including MyInvestor and Actyus.

  • malibou, a payroll and HR management platform for SMEs, raised €3m from investors, including Breega, Y Combinator and FCVC.

  • Sipay, which offers offline and online payment services, raised $15m in Series A funding led by Anfa.

  • re:cap, a financing and data insights platform, raised $14.6m in Series A funding, led by Entrée Capital.

  • plancraft, which helps automate workflows in the craft industry (including pricing and invoicing), raised €12m in Series A funding led by Creandum.

  • M^0, which allows institutions to issue a fully fungible crypto dollar called M, raised $35m in Series A funding led by Bain Capital.

  • SmartLoC, a B2B payments solution for international trade, raised €1.8m in a seed funding round led by High-Tech Gründerfonds.

  • Prêts, financing solutions for homeowners to make sustainable home improvements, raised €1m from investors, including Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland, Rubio Impact Ventures, and Rockstart.

  • Eventmaster, which provides e-commerce solutions for event ticketing, membership, and fundraising, raised €4m in funding from Business Growth Fund.

  • Sibill, which manages cash flow for SMEs, has secured a €6.2m investment from investors, including Danish VC firm Founders and Exor NV.

  • WealthOS, a wealthtech, has closed a £4m seed round led by Barclays.

  • Kaspar&, a wealthtech, received $2.8m in a seed financing round led by Avaloq in exchange for a minority stake.

  • Slip, a fintech startup that helps physical stores digitize receipts to unlock customer insights, has raised £2.5 million. Adjuvo led the seed round.


APAC FINTECH DEALS

  • International Payment Identity (iPiD) has raised $5.3m in a pre-Series A funding round led by Monk’s Hill Ventures.

  • Nium, a cross-border B2B payments operator, has raised $50 million in a Series E funding round led by a sovereign wealth fund in Southeast Asia.


MIDDLE EAST

  • Simplified Financial Solutions Company (SiFi), a spend management platform, has raised $10m in a seed funding round led by Sanabil Investments and RAED Ventures.
